Edmonton Drug Bust
Four Edmontonians have been charged in an Edmonton and Strathcona County drug bust after a two-week long drug trafficking investigation.
Police Dog Services from Strathcona County and the Edmonton Police Tactical Team executed search warrants on Friday at two separate Edmonton homes. The findings revealed illegal drugs and weapons.
“Even though the search warrants were executed at residences in Edmonton, the accused individuals were very active in trafficking and selling illegal drugs in Strathcona County”, said Const. Elissa Purvis of the Strathcona County RCMP.
“Due to the hard work and dedication of the Strathcona County RCMP Drug Unit, the involved individuals were identified and apprehended, resulting in a large quantity of illegal drugs being taken off of the streets.”
The drugs seized included:
- 30 grams of heroin,
- 700 grams of methamphetamine,
- 500 grams of cocaine,
- 80 grams of crack cocaine,
- 7,200 mililitres of GHB,
- 311 grams of Ketamine,
- 2.5 grams of marijuana,
- 73 grams of hash oil and
- 260 counterfeit Oxycontin pills with Fentanyl.
A machete and various firearm ammunition, $12,320 in cash, as well as various drug trafficking equipment were also found in the bust.
26-year-old Tyler Graham, 24-year-old Jessie Shaver, and 32-year-old Scott Ewen were arrested without incident in the homes. The three were remanded into custody and their parole was revoked. Michelle Bella, 23, turned herself into police the same day and was released on $2,500 with a promise to appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Monday.
