Have you seen this missing girl in Edmonton?

Edmonton Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a young girl, who was reportedly last seen Monday afternoon.

Police said Family of Kayla Cindy Land, 12, contacted police just before 8 p.m. Monday – it’s believed the girl was last seen in the area of 119 Street and 133 Avenue.

Officers are still searching for Land in her neighbourhood, as well as schools, libraries, parks, malls and on Edmonton Transit.

Land is described as:

  • Aboriginal
  • 157 cm (5’2”) tall
  • Thin build
  • Brown eyes
  • Brown chin-length hair

Police said she reportedly has a ‘neat and tidy’ appearance, and she was last believed to be wearing a gold sleeveless top, with a high collar, a white Lululemon hooded sweater, blue jeans with rips in the fabric, black flat shoes and a silver heart locket necklace.
Police said she may also be carrying a small pink purse, and a black reusable tote bag.

There are no indications of foul play, police said, but due to Land’s age there are concerns for her well-being.

Anyone with information that could help police is asked to call the Edmonton Police Service non-emergency line at 780-423-4567 or #377 on a mobile phone. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
