Suicide: The Ripple Effect
Kevin Hines experienced, first hand, the impact of attempting suicide. When he was 17, Kevin suffered with mental illness, including bi-polar disorder. When he was 19, he made the decision to try and take his life, and survived. Today, is is working on a new documentary about these events, called “Suicide: The Ripple Effect“.
Today, Kevin is a global speaker who reaches out to audiences with his story of “unlikely survival and his strong will to live.” Among his several recognitions, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012 for his work with suicide prevention. He continues to impact universities, high schools, conferences, and more with the tale of his struggles and how he overcame them.
In 2013, Kevin released a memoir titled “Cracked Not Broken, The Kevin Hines Story“. He is currently working on a new documentary set to be released in 2016, called “Suicide: The Ripple Effect“. The crowdfunding page for the documentary can be viewed and donated to here.
