There’s a big difference between love and lust. They’re often terms that are confused and used in the wrong context. One thing is for certain, they’re two totally different beasts. Lots of relationships get caught in lust, and the couple may believe it’s love, but it’s not.

People confuse them because they’re both intense and powerful. But only one will last a short while, while the other won’t fade if you’re with the right person.

Lust is a fierce attraction and is a desire to be swept up by someone else, not about what’s underneath. It’s hard to pull yourself away from lust, it’s just human nature. To want and to be wanted.

Love is a whole other ballgame, it isn’t just an emotion or want. It’s not just about sex or two people who can’t keep their hands off each other.

Love is hard work; it’s about give and take, and fighting for the other person every day. It’s not always going to be attractive or picture perfect. It’s about them being your best friend and being a partnership. Love is always trusting that your partner will work and fight for you, even on the rainiest of days.

Don’t confuse love with lust, it’s only going to end with a severely broken heart. Lust is simply a chemical reaction that’s short lived, it almost always ends.
